Tonight was going to be the night. Blair had been thinking about it all day. In fact, he had been thinking about it ever since Jim had announced they would do it. That had been three days ago. Blair's thoughts were occupied with what they were going to do and how they were going to do it.

To be totally honest, Blair was nervous. Although, he would never admit that to Jim. Jim probably already knew, what with his heightened hearing. Jim hadn't said a word indicating that he knew about Blair's nervousness. He had even gone so far as to remind Blair that morning that tonight was the night. Blair had been able to hide his nervousness from Jim.

However, now that he was sitting here, staring out the balcony windows, Blair wondered why he had ever agreed to such a thing. He had no experience with male/male sex. He had fibbed to Jim about that. Said there had been a guy when he was an undergraduate. But there had been no guy. Jim had admitted he had several male encounters when he was in the Army. Blair knew Jim was telling the truth. He could tell by the look that came across Jim's face as he spoke about the others.

Blair did love Jim, but he wasn't so sure he could have sex with another man. Jim wasn't just any other man, but still… Blair was nervous about what happened between men when they had sex. Blair wasn't against the concept, he just wasn't sure he could do it. He would have to talk to Jim when he came home. It wouldn't be long now.

Blair jumped to his feet as soon as Jim came into the door. One look at Jim and Blair knew that he did love Jim. He just didn't know whether he could make love to Jim.

"Hey, Chief. I thought you were going to have a romantic meal waiting for me when I got home. You haven't changed you mind have you?"

Blair actually chuckled at Jim's choice of words. Jim frowned at Blair.

"We've got to talk, Jim."

Blair could tell Jim was upset at his choice of words. He quickly continued. "I haven't changed my mind, Jim. Really, I haven't. I love you. I just have a confession to make." Blair paused, looking down at the floor.

Jim walked over to Blair and lifted his chin with his hand. The two of them gazed at each other for several minutes.

"I never… I lied to you, Jim. I said I had and I haven't. If you don't want me, I'd understand."

Jim was still holding onto Blair. He leaned in, giving Blair a soft kiss on his lips. "Don't be silly, Blair. It changes the game plans a little, but I love you and I want you in my life. We'll take things slow and I can teach you all you need to know."

"You're not mad at me?" Blair searched Jim's face, almost afraid of what he'd find.

"I could never be mad at you, Blair. I told you -- I love you."

With that declaration, Blair leaned in to engage Jim in another kiss. He wanted to learn everything Jim could teach him.
