Peaceful Thoughts

Blair sat cross-legged on the floor. The candles surrounded him, providing the only light in the room. Blair did this often -- meditated to bring a sense of peace and order to his life. When Blair meditated, he was able to clear his mind and not dwell on the disappointments in his life. Today, he was meditating to bring peaceful thoughts back into his mind. The past few days had been anything but peaceful. Blair had stayed at the hospital, making sure everyone injured would be okay, including his partner, Jim. Blair would still be at the hospital, but Joel had pulled rank, making Blair see that going home and resting would do more good in the end.

Blair knew Joel was right and let the captain take him home. Blair decided to meditate first and then rest.

He had arrived right after the explosion. It was pure luck he hadn't been with Jim when it happened. Blair had to stop at the bank and the wait was longer than he anticipated.

Blair opened his eyes -- meditation wasn't working this time. Blair rose from the floor and started pacing around the living room. He was thinking about going back to the hospital. But he knew if Joel or anyone else caught him there, he'd be forcibly removed. Blair walked around the room, blowing out the candles. He wasn't going to have success tonight. He made sure the doors and windows were locked and then walked to his bedroom. He'd try to sleep, but he was sure the past few days would continue to haunt him.

Poor thing, he was just worried. I like when the stories revolve around him meditating or in this case not meditating. Very angsty. I loved it.

Worried was right :) Just a little worked up over what happened. Thanks!
