A First Date

Jim had all the preparations finished. He was just waiting for Blair to come home. Jim knew that the outpouring of his generosity would surprise Blair, but Jim was hoping Blair accepted actions rather than words. Jim was much more comfortable with doing something rather than talking. He had been that way for most of his life.

He wanted to let Blair know he loved him. Not brotherly love, but real love, wanting to spend the rest of his life with another man love. He was hoping Blair felt the same way. If not, Jim would be embarrassed about what he had gone through, making a full-course meal and buying candles and wine and dessert.

Jim heard Blair approaching the loft. He quickly lit the candles and waited for the door to open.

Blair opened the door to the loft, surprised Jim was home so early. He walked in, standing just inside the door. He looked over at Jim, who had a smile on his face.

"What's going on, man? Did I forget about a big date you were having? I'll leave…"

"No, Blair. It's for you." Jim walked over to Blair, pulling him into a hug and then pushing back to place a kiss on those lush lips he had wanted to taste for a long time.

Jim could feel the flush on Blair's face and saw the young man blush.

"I love you, Blair. This is for you. For us."

Blair let a small smile grace his face. "For us? Wow, Jim. When you do something, you go all out, don't you?"

It was Jim's turn to blush. "Guilty as charged. But I want to do this right and for us to take things slow. That is, if you want to do this at all?"

"Well, yeah, I want to do this. I'm honored you'd even want me. And I definitely want you."
