Blind Man's Bluff Double Drabble

This is a double drabble for the Sentinel episode, Blind Man's Bluff.

Common Ground
Debbie

They had both been affected by the insidious drug called "Golden". Jim shuddered whenever he thought about what they had gone through. He and Blair. Blair and him. Just another incident that gave them common ground. Jim walked down the stairs from his bedroom.

Blair was sitting on the couch, his legs drawn up underneath. He didn't acknowledge Jim as he came to stand in front of him.

"Chief? Are you okay?" Jim's concern was evident in the tone of his voice.

Blair's gaze rose to look Jim in the eye. Jim saw the raw emotion there. The tears fell from Blair's eyes.

"I thought I was going to die, man." The emotion was thick in Blair's words. His gaze fell to the floor once more.

"I wouldn't let it happen, Blair. You know that, right?"

There was a derisive laugh from Blair. "You were in the same boat, Jim. Well, not exactly, but you were affected by the same drug. Not as severely as I was, but still…" Blair went suddenly silent.

"I was still there for you, Blair. And it's not going to change. Ever."

Blair wanted to believe that. And he wanted to be there for Jim.

OOOH, very nice drabble, Debbie. I love missing scenes. I'd love to see this written into a longer fic.

Well, I suppose I could be persuaded into making it into a longer fic, since BMB is my Sentinel obsession. Seriously, it is. It is just such an easy episode to write missing scenes for.

Thank you for the kind words, Annie!!
